About Us

  My fondest memory as a young girl is watching my grandmother as she made her legendary “Transparent Pie.” I remember watching as she filled the most light, flakey crust with the most delectable, smooth custard. Grandma Berry cooked everything from scratch and never measured a single ingredient. Her pies were perfect, her cakes were moist and her cookies were to die for. Not much ever happened in the small town in southern Ohio, where I grew up…unless we created it, and it’s one of the reasons watching my grandmother and my mother whip up tasty delights kept me around their apron strings. It wasn’t long before we were getting demands for our baked goods from everyone in town, especially for the holidays and other special gatherings. I learned to cook in my mom’s kitchen and my grandmother’s kitchen where all the secrets were born and kept in a handmade cookbook. These recipes created from love inspired me to carry on the tradition of creating homemade specialties, so I opened my very own baking business. For me, it’s become so much more than just another bakery. It’s a constant reminder of family and friends and plenty of good eating. Berry Delicious Cupcakes, LLC has become the glue that keeps me close to family, including my siblings, Sherri, Toska and Theron. Now since Grandma Berry and my mother, Mary H. Berry have passed on, I carry their traditions of making delectable delicacies with love and expertise. My name is Dannette Taylor- Addison, the proud owner of Berry Delicious Cupcakes, LLC. I spend my days in the kitchen while enjoying my very supportive husband, our three sons and six beautiful grandchildren. My success is dedicated to Grandma Berry and my dearly departed mother, Mary H. Berry. The legacy they left behind will be forever cherished.
